Sword Maintenance:
1. Gently remove all packaging and avoid touching the blade with bare hands to prevent oil transfer
2. Initial cleaning; wipe with a soft cloth; use rubbing alcohol for stubborn grease
3. Check the guard and handle for dust; debris; or rust; and remove rust with fine steel wool or a rust eraser
4. Clean the blade after use with a dry cloth to remove moisture and debris
5. Oil the blade regularly with sword oil (like mineral oil) to prevent rust
6. Store in a dry; cool place; avoiding leather sheaths that trap moisture
